Ethan and his wife Karen Mikuni are excited about pouring at the inaugural Nikkei Wine Summit 2024 – “American Wine with Japanese Soul” – which focuses on Japanese-American wine producers. It will be in Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo on Saturday, June 29 starting at 12:30pm at the Toshizo Watanabe Culinary Cultural Center. The 2020 Vintage has arrived
Super excited to release the 2020 Quin’s Vineyard Pinot Noir and Syrah, our sixteenth vintage. The Pinot demonstrates candied violets and roasted rhubarb on the nose, following with plums in the mid palate and finishing with long beautiful tannins. The Syrah shows ripe black cherry and blackberry notes following through the mid palate to nuances of French oak on the finish. Both wines are elegant, balanced, and ready to pair with your holiday meals. Released on November 29, 2023. Now shipping to most of these United States. Order yours now!

Please the Palate Wine of the Week: Etnyre Wines!
2018 Etnyre Quin’s Vineyard Syrah was named Please the Palate Wine of the Week in January 2023. Allison Levine interviewed Ethan and detailed our story and tasting notes.
“The 2018 Syrah has a pretty perfumed nose with notes of violets, cherry, blackberry, pomegranate, and a touch of menthol. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied. The acidity and tannins are balanced, leaving a mouthwatering finish.”
Harvest 2022 is in the bag

The new SLO Coast AVA is born
The San Luis Obispo Coast AVA was approved on March 9, as a new appellation that stretches approximately 60 miles x 15 miles along the Central Coast of California. It includes the northern border of SLO County near Big Sur down to the northern boundary of Santa Barbara County. Etnyre Wines is now proudly included in the SLO Coast AVA. It is a fitting tribute to the distinct wines and flavor profiles of this cool climate region. Congratulations and thanks to all who made this happen!

Fantastic reviews from respected wine critic, Jeb Dunnuck
92 – 2020 Pinot Noir Quin’s Vineyard – “The light ruby-hued 2020 Pinot Noir Quin’s Vineyard comes from a vineyard outside of San Luis Obispo and has a great Burgundian bouquet of spiced cherry and strawberry fruits, notes of forest floor, iron, and salted meat, medium-bodied richness, a supple, elegant texture, and a great finish. It has moderate acidity and plenty of up-front appeal, so plan on drinking bottles over the coming 3-5 years or so.”
91 – 2020 Syrah Quin’s Vineyard – “The 2020 Syrah Quin’s Vineyard (98% Syrah and 2% Torrontés) is also impressive, with cool climate notes of red berries, conifer, sappy green herbs, and pepper. Medium-bodied, supple, and elegant on the palate, drink this balanced, cool climate-inspired Syrah over the coming 4-6 years or so.”
